In local dialect Namik translates into saline water springs which perfectly represent this glacier as a number of waterfalls and sulphur springs originate from this glacier. Namik village was once an important centre of Indo-Tibetan trade.

The trail largely follows the Ramganga River winding through deep forests and rolling meadows with stunning views of the Himalayan range.
Namik glacier is surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas such as Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Trishul. The trek starts from Munsyari which is a beautiful hamlet. The route ahead passes through Senar Gad meadows, Dhal Auk, Sudam Khan and Hirmani Glacier. Namik Glacier Trek takes you through a captivating blend of natural beauty and historical significance. Arrive at Delhi by afternoon. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. In the evening proceed for a drive around tour of Delhi. Get an experience of the spectacular the Red Fort. O/N stay in Delhi.

Depart early morning for Kathgodam by train. On arrival at Kathgodam by noon proceed to Kausani by reserved vehicle. (Travel time : 6 hours ). On arrival transfer to hotel. O/N stay in Kausani. ( Altitude : 6200 feet )

Post breakfast proceed for visit to the famous Anashakti Ashram also known as Gandhi Ashram. After lunch proceed to Gogina by reserved vehicle ( Travel time : 6 hours ). O/N stay in Gogina. ( Altitude : 6400 feet )

Trek Day 01
Post breakfast we begin the trek from Gogina to Thala Bugyal via Namik Village. located at an altitude of about 8,200 feet. ( Distance : Approx. 7 km / Trek duration: 5-6 hours ). O/N camping at Thala Bhugyal. ( Altitude gain : 1800 feet ).

Trek Day 02
Post breakfast we begin the trek from Thala Bugyal to Chapchu Top located at an altitude of about 10,500 feet. ( Distance : Approx. 7 km / Trek duration: 5-6 hours ). O/N camping at Chapchu Top. ( Altitude gain : 2300 feet ).

Trek Day 03
Post breakfast we begin the trek from Chapchu Top to Nandkund located at an altitude of about 11,600 feet. ( Distance: Approx. 11 km / Trek duration: 7-8 hours ). O/N camping at Nandkund. ( Altitude gain : 1100 feet ).

Trek Day 04
Post breakfast we begin the trek from Namik Glacier and return to Nandkund. We climb to Ranthan Top situated at a commanding height of 12,900 feet from which offers breathtaking view of some of the highest peaks of Kumaon region. ( Distance: Approx. 9 km / Trek duration: 8-9 hours ). O/N camping at Nandkund.

Trek Day 05
Post breakfast we begin the trek from Nandkund to Chapchu Top. ( Distance: Approx. 11 km / Trek duration: 7-8 hours ). O/N camping at Nandkund.

Post breakfast we begin the trek from Chapchu Top to Gogina Village.( Distance : Approx. 15 km / Trek duration: 8-9 hours ). O/N stay in Gogina.

Depart after early breakfast from Gogina to Nainital via Almora by reserved vehicle ( Travel time : Approx. 10 hours ). On arrival at Nainital by evening transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure at the famous Mall Road of Nainital. O/N stay in Nainital.

After early breakfast depart for Kathgodam by reserved vehicle ( Travel time : 1.5 hours ). On arrival depart for Delhi by train. Arrive at Delhi in the afternoon. Later proceed to respective destination by air / train. Trekking expedition ends.
